At sunset, you will begin to descend into an ancient lava flow off Mount Karioi in the company of an experienced guide. As you climb and abseil into freshwater pools and cascading waterfalls, it will be hard to miss the beauty of the surrounding flora and fauna, and as darkness falls, you'll start to see the luminescent transformation take place. Be dazzled by the native New Zealand glowworms as abundant as stars on a clear night that envelop you, and take a moment to soak in the area's peacefulness with a hot cup of freshly-made Kawakawa tea.
